A few of the quilts made here

The Ajijic Quilt Guild is a guild which was organized in the autumn of 2004 at Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. The guild is open to the general public. All levels of quilters are welcome - from novice to very experienced.

Activities include hand and/or machine piecing and quilting, appliqué, charity projects, workshops, classes, demonstrations, and shopping trips. Click here to see meeting photos.

Meetings are held at 12:00 noon the 2nd Tuesday of the month in Ajijic at the Laguna Bed 'n Brunch, Zaragoza Ote. #29.

Special Events:

In 2006 the Ajijic Quilt Guild began making quilts for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Mexico City. This has been an ongoing project for 2007 as well and we hope to provide some cheer for some of the many under privileged children who are treated there.

In 2007 the Lakeside Little Theatre produced the play “The Quilters”.

The Ajijic Quilt Guild and the Lago de Chapala quilters made two king size quilts which served as the backdrops for the finale of the play.

These quilts were then raffled to raise over $2000.00 USD to benefit Ninos Incapacitados, a local charity helping with medical care for children in need.
